In Loving Memory of Jeff Thomas

Jeff Thomas, formerly of Eugene and most recently of Gilbert, AZ, passed away July 3, 2014 at the age of 56.


Jeff was born April 29th, 1958 in Eugene. He attended schools in the Eugene and Pleasant Hill areas until moving to Washington state in the late 1970s to pursue a career with Apple. His work in the computer electronics field over the next 20 years took him to many places near and far. He was an extraordinarily gifted engineer and created many electronic devices, some of which include Nixie tube clocks, elaborate door chimes, and countless gadgets, robots, musical instruments and more. Along with his friends, wife and children and neighbors, put on an annual Halloween Spectacular in their Gilbert neighborhood featuring music created by giant tesla coils, choreographed dances by costumed daughters Haley and Lauren and their friends, and candy dispensed by robotics created by his son, Christian, who is following in his father's engineering footsteps is now a graduate of ASU Fulton School of Engineering with a Bachelor's degree in Robotic Engineering. Jeff also was involved with the evolution of the electric car and was the owner of a electrical equipment and supply manufacturing company EVBones in Gilbert.

Jeff was a unique man who touched the lives of many with his quick wit, great mind, amazing creations and caring manner. He is greatly missed by his family and friends.
